In depth

Verdict

Transvestite is bound to have his supporters back over a more suitable trip having not seemingly stayed the two miles at Wolverhampton last time and he is not badly treated off the same mark as when successful at that venue in January last year but it is hard to get away from the progressive and in-form SEDGWICK, who can win again and he gets the vote with Little Sark rated the best of the rest. The selection has won his last four starts for Ian Williams in either sellers or claimers at different venues on the artificial surfaces and he can continue winning ways back on turf. Julia Feilden's Persian Tomcat needs to improve dramatically on all known form to trouble the judge and of more interest may be Jeff Pearce's Motarjm, who made an encouraging return to turf when a close fourth behind Khun John at Yarmouth on soft ground earlier this month. The David Evans-trained Little Sark ran much better when narrowly beaten at Kempton last month and he would have every chance if able to show a similar level of form back on turf but preference is for Sedgwick, who can win again.
