Hugh Morrison's Celestial Girl could be of interest first time in a handicap on her turf debut off a mark of 55 but she does not look to be particularly well treated and a better bet looks to be MACKINTOSH, who gets the vote ahead of Yakama. Christine Dunnett's gelding has been running consistently well in recent starts having been placed in each of his last three starts and he looks to have solid claims having run a close third behind Lady Lam at Kempton last month but he has yet to win in 33 career starts so may again have to settle for minor honours. Tony Newcombe's Signora Frasi is seemingly better on the Polytrack than on turf, while George Baker's Court Wing was well held on his handicap debut last time and this is a more realistic engagement. Paul Cole's Chinese Democracy is lightly raced and open to improvement but he needs to improve to trouble the judge and preference is for Mackintosh. The Patrick Morris-trained gelding is another maiden but the son of Kyllachy has run some decent races in defeat of late and he may be worth siding with back on turf having been running creditably on the artificial surfaces of late.
