Tony Carroll's hat-trick seeking Under Fire and Hugh Morrison's Celestial Girl, who both won over course and distance last time, have penalties to carry for their recent successes and it may be worth siding with the lightly raced SHIANDA, who gets the vote. Gary Moore's filly showed only a modicum of ability in maidens prior to making an encouraging first start in a handicap at Windsor last month when a fair fourth behind Milnagavie and she may be worth backing off a 3lb lower mark today with plenty of improvement likely to come from her. Celestial Girl stayed on well when winning here but this is tougher under the penalty as it is for Under Fire, although both have to be hugely respected. Nick Gifford's Aah Haa has a bit to find with Tony Carroll's gelding on running at Lingfield last month, while Michael Scudamore's Farncombe made an encouraging return to the flat at Warwick last month after some disappointing efforts over hurdles but has harshly been raised 2lbs since then. Any market support for Summers Target would be of interest as it would for Shianda, who is taken to open her account.
