      Verdict

      Andrew Balding looks to have found a good opportunity for MY LEARNED FRIEND, who can take this at the main expense of Golden Prospect and Hypnotic. The selection has never won away from Lingfield, but trip and ground here suit him, and he did run very well at this track when runner-up to Patavium Prince last time. A literal line through the winner that day gives Golden Prospect, who beat him in receipt of 18lbs when they recently met, plenty to do to topple our pick. Hypnotic won here over a mile last month but is now 8lbs higher and has plenty to prove after being beaten from a 2lb lower mark at Thirsk last time. Pokfulham was well backed and ridden to win a Leicester seller last week but emptied on that occasion. With 2lbs less to shoulder here is is not totally ruled out, while Zebrano would be interesting if supported, having gone well from higher marks. My Learned Friend gets the vote.
