A moderate but competitive seven-furlong handicap in which several have chances including Cold Climate, Temper Tantrum, Concubine and Kinsman but the selection is Mister Clinton. Dean Ivory's gelding ran encouragingly on his recent return to action at Yarmouth when a five-length fifth behind Petrus and, in a race as weak as this, a reproduction of that effort may suffice. Cold Climate has claims if fit for his seasonal reappearance. There are no doubts on that score for Temper Tantrum who has been on the go on the all-weather during the winter and made a satisfactory return to turf last month. Topweight Concubine has chances on his best but is not always the most consistent of performers, while Kinsman disappointed back on turf last time. All in all a poor contest in which Mister Clinton looks the most solid performer.
