Verdict

After improving tons for a step up to this trip last time CORR POINT is given the nod to make it back-to-back handicap scores in preference to Palawi and Leader Of The Land. After three average runs over inadequate trips the selection duly won with something to spare when given a more appropriate stamina test on his handicap bow. Based on that and the fact there should be more to come he looks well weighted so he should take all the beating. Palawi put in a career best to only be beaten by one last time in a maiden. He also seemed to go better for a bigger stamina test and he makes a handicap debut off a workable rating. Leader Of The Land easily scored over course and distance two starts back and was only just denied under a penalty last time. His only a 1lb worse off here so should be in the mix again. Meetings Man was an easy winner over this trip at Hamilton on his last start and his ratings rise is a fair one.
