Verdict

This looks a good opportunity for Amerigo Vespucci to lose his maiden tag, Stargazer Jim and Muzdaher look the main rivals. Jeremy Noseda's colt made his debut in a decent looking maiden at Lingfield at the end of last month. He was very green but got the hang of things in the closing stages and looks a certainty to improve. Stargazer Jim also has plenty of scope for improvement having had just one outing to date when finishing a close up fifth behind Lightning Flash. He wasn't given a hard time in that contest and we should see this one in the firing line. Muzdaher looks the pick of the debutante's. Mark Johnston's colt is a 650 thousand dollar son of Danzig who is sure to know what is required. Meggido is from a yard in form and any market move would be significant, but Amerigo Vespucci should improve leaps and bounds and gets our vote.
