Barking Mad will be all the rage here, and it is hard to oppose Kevin Ryan's charge who gets a confident vote over the likes of Green Falcon, Captain Saif and Eton to name but three. Barking Mad has paid his way in better company over the years for Michael Bell, and appears to have thrived since leaving Newmarket, having won a claimer for Kevin Ryan at Southwell in April. Not disgraced in a couple of handicaps since then, you could argue that it was a disappointing effort to be beaten by Tetragon in a Hamilton claimer, but he has little to beat here and should comfortably make amends. Green Falcon also drops in grade after finishing behind Summerise at Yarmouth, but has been beaten in Banded company in the past. Captain Saif takes a big step up in trip here and is best watched, although he was quite useful for Richard Hannon three years ago. Eton is now 10lb lower than when landing a York claimer 12 months ago, but has gone right off the boil, and so Barking Mad is the obvious choice.
