Soft Gold can make experience count over Daggernought, with Emily's Will and newcomer Champara worth noting. Soft Gold found all bar Hunter Street too good at Yarmouth 12 days ago, and as that winner is well regarded, it would be no surprise if the John Jenkins-trained juvenile were to come good, with his ability to handle the fast ground not in question. Daggernought rallied well when staying on into fifth behind Private Business on his Goodwood debut, but that was on softish ground, and it remains to be seen how he will handle today's conditions. Emily's Will was fancied at Windsor on her last outing in April but disappointed. She has only been tried on easy ground so far as well, and is another that is worth a watching brief. Champara's stable have been doing very well with its two-year-olds, so any market support should be heeded, but Soft Gold sets the standard on the evidence so far, and is the one to beat.
