Destinys Dream gets the nod over Jastaanhi and Select Committee, while Scanno, being by leading first season sire Captain Rio, is a nicely bred individual that should be monitored in the betting. The last named has also fared well with the draw and would not need to be anything special to make a big impact on his racecourse debut. Select Committee has run with promise in each of his three previous starts and is a likely type for a nursery. Cut in the ground should not inconvenience the Kevin Ryan-trained gelding and he holds solid place claims, at least. Jastaanhi showed nothing on debut, so it was a bit of a surprise he emerged as a clear second best to a well regarded type last time out. However, he does need to prove that was not just a flash in the pan and looks a risky option for win only purposes. Admittedly, the selection also needs to find improvement and would not be the best bet of the day. However, Ann Duffield's charge was not beaten far in a much better race at Thirsk in May and, now that her yard are in much better form, this daughter of Mull Of Kintyre looks a fair betting proposition at the likely odds.
