On old form New Beginning is dangerously well handicapped and while he is showing signs of form we prefer the recent efforts of the unexposed SIRVINO while Cheers For Thea is running well and could claim some of the prize pot. It could be that the pick is marginally ahead of the assessor despite falling just short off a mark three pounds lighter last time out. However, the lines from that contest look good and although this one has to prove aptitude for quick ground his form is tied in with better horse than he faces here and he is unexposed so should improve. Cheers For Thea won't want the surface any drier but won in similar company on his penultimate effort. That was followed by a remote second off a mark two pounds heavier than she has here so she should be able to get in the mix once more. New Beginning has threatened to return to form with a couple of placed efforts in the last few starts. Both have come in weaker contests, both off this mark and having won off a rating much higher in the distant past he is potentially well treated. Snow Dancer has been going well in fair handcaps on the polytrack recently and does handle this going but hasn't one off a mark this high since April 2007. You could make a case for one or two of the others as well but Sirvino should be just good enough.
