Thompsons Walls is the highest rated in the field but has shown very little to recommend him so we instead we turn to Prince Noel and HERBAL CRESENT with the last named preferred. Ollie Pear's gelding drops into selling company after some solid efforts in handicaps. He was well beaten last time off a high looking mark but did take victory off a mark of 60 three starts ago in a better race than this. He should go well off these terms and will handle the fast going despite his recent best coming on polytrack. Thompsons Walls perhaps needed the run last time out after 225 days off but was well beaten that day. He did win one of these last summer but he'll have to show more to score this time. Prince Noel wasn't far beaten in one of these races last time behind a rival rated eight pounds better. He is quite consistent for this level but it looks as if he needs nine furlongs to be at his best. Rowan Lodge is one win from one run at this track and will like the quick conditions while Bajan Pride has got bits and pieces of form to suggest he can grab some of the prize money. Definitely don't wager the mortgage on such an average contest where Herbal Cresent is the marginal selection.
