PETER'S FOLLIE may be sharp enough to get the better of Orpen Arms and Kalahari Desert amongst others. Of the newcomers, Theymistim is one of the more interesting as he makes a good deal of appeal on paper and hails from a yard that have a good record with their youngsters in recent seasons whilst Lady Compton is related to winners but attracted little interest in the ring. Orpen Arms hasn't been done any favours by the draw computer but her experience may enable her to take up a decent position from the break so I wouldn't view that as a major negative. The form of her latest fourth in a Hamilton nursery looks solid enough and makes her the one to beat. Kalahari Desert may not want the ground to dry out too much but he did take the eye on debut when staying on from off the pace to finish fourth behind a stablenate of Theymistim. He was comfortably held but should be more competitive now that he's got a run under his belt. The trip is an issue for Peter's Follie as there's little doubt that she won't come into her own until sent over further but she didn't look devoid of speed over this trip at Yarmouth on debut. Not surprisingly, the further they went the better she went that day and the stiff climb to the finish at this track may just enable Peter's Follie to score.
