Royal Storm, Flying Bantam and Celtic Step are the three for the shortlist here and the vote is given to Flying Bantam. The selection won this race last year and he arrives here in decent form. He wasn't beaten far here last time out, he will have ground conditions to suit today and with the yard continuing in good form he can take plenty of beating. Royal Storm looks his chief rival, but he has a 6lbs penalty to shoulder for his win last time and that may just find him out. Celtic Step was only beaten a neck at Thirsk last time and he shouldn't be inconvenienced by this drop in trip so he looks to hold solid place claims. Sands Of Barra hinted at a return to form last time when he chased home Stellite at Musselburgh so he is also worth considering, but in a trappy event we will side with Flying Bantam to get his head in front.
