Mystical Girl ran a stormer off top-weight and can see off Riley Boys, Jerome and Fossgate in a competitive handicap. Mark Johnston's charge has Keith Dalgleish in the saddle today and there is every reason to suggest that she will have come on for a decent return to the racetrack at Bath a few weeks ago. Riley Boys is in good heart at the moment and while the stable is in form, there is an obvious worry about the horse's previous form on the surface. Jerome looks an interesting type at the top of the handicap if he can handle the step up in trip. If he can, he is copiously placed in the handicap at present. Fossgate boosts solid form behind Appalachian Trail and looks one open to improvement. Mission Affirmed has been in form on the artificial surfaces and while he is in good heart, his previous turf form left a lot to be desired. Of the remainder, Trojan Flight is of interest given that he is substantially upgraded in trip after three forays over what appeared to be insignificant trips on breeding. A tricky race with many chances and we stick with Mystical Girl.
