A competitive contest gets proceedings under way but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Vitelli, Kylie Time and Peggy Sioux and the tentative vote goes to Kylie Time. The selection was a fair third behind Cyborg Du Sou at Perth last time and with this slightly shorter trip sure to be in his favour he will be hard to beat under similar conditions. Vitelli rates the main danger he was a good third behind Racing Deamon in a bumper last time out. He is sure to have been well schooled for this his hurdling debut and he will not have to improve much to take a hand in the finish. Peggy Sioux is another worthy of respect on her second behind Arijaz a couple of runs ago but she has since disappointed so can not be backed with any confidence. Of the remainder Soviet Society and Silver Sedge are from yards in good form and are worth a cautionary look in the market, but in a race where stakes should be kept to the minimum for the winner we return to Kylie Time.
