Fast ground and this trip suits Motu and he is taken to return to winning ways in a poor seller, while Caribbean Nights, Baby Barry and Aqua can all get involved. The selection has not won in 12 attempts since taking a banded race off this mark of 49 at Folkestone last September. However,he relishes fast ground, has not been in bad form - excepting his latest run - and is well drawn here so can take advantage. Caribbean Nights heads the weights from the in-form yard of Tim Easterby. The local trainer loves to land a touch here and strictly speaking at these weights he has a very good chance of doing so again. The three-year-old has shown little spark in handicaps of late, but this drop in class should see him show prominently. Baby Barry hails from the Richard Fahey yard that won this last year, although this performer has not won since September 2004. He is still 2lb higher than that last win and over a trip that looks inadequate we will oppose. Aqua has shown only the odd glimmer of form and has a porr draw, but his first time blinkers may elicit some improvement, though we prefer Motu to claim this paltry prize.
