A modest handicap can go to Cool Sands, who deserves a change of fortune after several near misses of late. Plenty Cried Wolf, Fly To Dubai and the unexposed Desert Omen are others to consider. The last named is fairly treated after the three mandatory runs and can be placed to good effect by his shrewd handler. The son of Desert Style is obviously no world beater though and does need to find a little improvement top get off the mark at the first try in a handicap. Fly To Dubai has hit form at the right time and comes into this race with a string of good efforts to his name. However, he did not create the impression that a drop in trip would ideally suit him when winning at Brighton last month and he may be just short of the mark. Plenty Cried Wolf hails from a yard that do well here and is worth monitoring for each-way support. A mile is probably his optimum trip and he is no forlorn hope for a place. However, Cool Sands looks the most reliable option on the evidence available from the last few weeks and he can put his race fitness to good use here.
