It is somewhat surprising to see some of the jumping yards targeting this maiden but we will take ASTRODIVA to see off their challenges with Cecily Parsley and Sheshali the alternatives. The filly wasn't beaten far by Matraasha at Newcastle earlier in the year and with the likelihood of there being little of that calibre in opposition, we give her a chance to finally get her head infront. Cecily Parsley looked as if she would gain plenty of experience for her Newbury debut and is one of those to note in the market beforehand. Sheshali did not show too much for John Oxx as a juvenile but has made up into a decent handicap hurdler for Evan Williams. On breeding, this trip looks fine. Olofi has a pedigree that cries out for testing going so watch the weather forecast. Whiterocks has been bitterly disappointing and may be one for handicaps beyond today. Recurring Dream is a half-sister to staying chaser, Dream Alliance. Lady Of Ashcott is from a family that has had a series of ten furlong winners in France so could be best of the rest. Sana Abel hasn't looked as if getting the trip in the past but she is getting plenty of allowances from the elders. Astrodiva can gain an overdue victory this evening.
