Verdict
Henry Island is very capable at this level and gets the nod over Its Your Bid and Azur. Mandy Bowlby's 10-year-old has not lost the habit of visiting the winner's enclosure as proved by his three victories this term. Although they have all been at Warwick, he does act on this course and faces no harder task than of late. He has clearly appreciated the ease in grade since taking on the likes of Knavesmire Omen at Goodwood and looks the one to beat. Its Your Bid has not won for two years but was not too far behind the prolific Misternando the time before last with the blinkers on for the first time. She is not one to take a short price about though, and Azur probably has about the same chance. She tries two miles for the first time after being outpaced in better company than this at York last time, and with the form of her earlier Warwick victory not looking too bad, she must not be overlooked providing she stays the trip. Frankie Dettori rides Exquisite Affair who has looked patently one-paced so far and is another who may benefit from the move up in distance. All in all, although he has been described by his trainer as quirky in the past, Henry Island still looks the safest conveyance.
