This is a high quality race and features the reappearance of the exciting Kind, who ended last season with five wins on the bounce. Roger Charlton's filly is sure to be a popular choice here, but we're going to take her on with Chris Wall's Paradise Isle. Having won four times over six and seven furlongs last season, Kind surprised a few by improving again on a drop back to the minimum trip when she ran out a comfortable winner of a Listed race at Hamilton on her final start. She could easily develop into a group class sprinter this term, but at this stage of the season she may just struggle to concede four pounds to the equally smart Paradise Isle. Chris Wall¿s filly boasts some smart form last year, including a demolition of the useful Alderney Race in the Shergar Cup at Ascot. She also beat Solar Power and Dame De Noche, who reoppose here, in decent fashion at Newmarket in September and should have little trouble confirming that form with these rivals as she faces them on significantly better terms today. Pick of the three-year-olds should be Hugh Morrison¿s Lowther fourth, Notjustaprettyface. However, older horses generally fare better at this time of year and Paradise Isle looks just the ticket.
