A moderate contest may go the way of Hope An Glory, with Lord of Dreams and Chicken Soup not to be ruled out. In truth nothing stands out, but a tentative vote goes the way of Hope An Glory. A son of Nashwan out of a Selkirk mare, there has to be a doubt about Nick Littmoden's charge liking the fast ground here, but on the evidence of his three runs to date he has every chance in this company, especially with the step up in trip at least in his favour. Fifth to Coeur Courageux at Lingfield in March, he meets nothing of that calibre here and should be involved, with in-form Richard Quinn in the plate. Lord of Dreams kept on when second in a Pontefract nursery on his final outing last October and is only now returning to the fray, while Chicken Soup was down the field in a Newmarket mile handicap recently and will improve for the step up in trip. A close second to Toffee Vodka at Epsom last August puts him in with every chance as well, and a mention should be given to Marhaba Million who took on the likes of Gold Gun and Kong in soft ground at Newbury in April. Any of the top four on the racecard could win this, and so Hope An Glory is only recommended to small stakes.
