Richard Hannon's juveniles always have to be respected here and so Rapsgate looks one of the more obvious contenders, however there are a few interesting newcomers including Bella Bertolini and Perfect Beat and we will side with the last named. The boys in blue have been slow to hit form this season, but it will happen sooner or later and Perfect Beat does look the part on paper. She is by Fasyliev out of a Green Desert mare and cost 150 thousand guineas as a yearling. She will no doubt have been well prepared and unless she takes a big walk in the market she look the best option here. The Michael Jarvis trained Bella Bertolini was a relatively cheap purchase but is related to some decent performers, once again the market should be a good guide. Rapsgate looks the pick of the experienced runners, having finished an excellent third to the well backed Donna Blini in a hot race at Newmarket. John Gosden had a nice juvenile winner on Saturday and so his filly Duelling also merits respect, but we are hopeful that Godolphin can reach the winners enclosure with Perfect Beat.
