This should not take a great deal of winning and it is hard to get away from Charlie Egerton's Canalturn, who has shown a decent level of form and gets the vote to gain a deserved first success, with the main dangers rated as Caheerloch and It's In The Stars. The last mentioned was not up to the task in a Grade 2 contest on heavy ground at Warwick when last seen in January 2007 but Henry Daly's gelding has shown a reasonable level of form prior to that and he has to be respected if retaining any of his old ability. George Moore's Island Key has shown gradual improvement of late but does need to improve to trouble the judge, while Lady Bernie could do better now that the yard of Paul Webber is back among the winners. Caheerloch was useful on the flat in Ireland and should improve for his debut effort over hurdles last month but Canalturn has solid claims and is hard to oppose.
