Verdict
Woodcraft is preferred to Bedizen and Calgary Jock. The selection ran a fair race at Perth last time and appears to be heading in the right direction. His previous efforts have been modest at best and he has broken blood vessels in the past but we'll put him forwards in the hope that his problems are behind him. Bedizen ran on well to win a Stratford seller, form which puts him firmly in the picture but the handicapper has seen fit to raise him by a stone for that performance which tempers confidence. Calgary Jock has been well held in all three starts but returns from a short break and may improve for the switch to handicapping. Will The Till is a player on his best form and may go best fresh, Chamarhal may respond to a visor and be suited by reverting to hurdling but the remainder have little to commend them. Top weight is a steadier but Woodcraft may be up to the task.
