In the last STAR TENOR looks to have this contest in the bag but should things go wrong Faversham could take the victory with Caulkley¿s Bank a decent shout to place. After an aberration when pulling up at Uttoexter on his second race back Barry Leavy's gelding has improved with every run culminating in back to back wins on his last two visits to a racecourse. The ground could be a deciding factor here though with no form to call on in testing conditions but none of the others really have that in their favour either. If the ground does defeat the selection then Faversham could benefit. An early season blow out was followed by a solid run when fifth of 18 in late October at Towcester last time. Still a maiden over obstacles but usually in touching distance he should at least trouble the judge. Caulkleys Bank might be worth backing if the price remains in double figures. There is a suggestion this will act on the heavy going here after a decent run in similar conditions at Wetherby albeit back in 2006. A few fair, if not spectacular, performances so far this season could win this one a placing. Wishes Or Watches has a placing at Fontwell last March on bottomless ground a fact that will work in his favour although recent form suggest he'll do well to be close to Star Tenor should be the class act.
