Colfer Me, twice a winner on the Flat and rated 97, didn't appear to quite get home over an extended 2m at Down Royal though made a couple of mistakes and a better round of jumping should see him in the firing line. Harvest Bow, rated 69 on the level, was narrowly beaten on his hurdling bow at Roscommon and started odds-on at Killarney but was beaten 18 lengths into second. Mianna has never looked like winning in either start but has been staying on in both and will be suited by the step up in trip. VERY EXCELLENT was beaten narrowly by Kastasa in a 1m1f Clonmel maiden back in April and the winner has since completed a hat-trick. Andrew McNamara's charge has been kept back for jumping and gets the vote though fellow newcomer Recent Revelations, a close third in a Roscommon maiden in June, is another who has the potential to do well over timber.
