    Verdict

Arch Of Titus is going the right way and can get losses back today at the expense of Celtic Step, Princeton and Foxxy. Arch Of Titus was sent off as an odds-on favourite at Beverley a fortnight ago, but was put in his place by Montalembert. However, Michael Bell's colt was seven-lengths clear of the third horse, and as he had previously run a sound race when second on soft ground at Newcastle, hopes are high that he can make a winning nursery debut in receipt of a bit of weight from his main rivals. One of those is Princeton who has run up a sequence of seconds over the past month or so, including over today's track-and-trip last time. He will handle the going and should go close yet again. Celtic Step came out on top in what looked a fair maiden at Leicester, and should have no trouble adding to his haul in time, while Foxxy steps up to a trip more in keeping with her breeding, and is another to keep in mind. This appears to have the makings of a competitive contest despite the small field, and only a narrow vote goes to Arch Of Titus.
