This isn't the strongest claimer you'll see but based on the official ratings BARATARIA looks best in at the weights so is just our choice ahead of joint highest rated Bere Davis and the consistent Graceful Descent is also considered. Down into this grade for the first time the pick has lost his way under a high looking burden on his last two starts so with that used as an excuse for those poor efforts he looks well weighted by the way this race is framed. Bere Davis is rated the same as the pick but gives his rival three pounds. It can be argued he is on slightly better form so it is feasible that weight deficit could be overturned. Graceful Decent broke a long run of silver medals by taking advantage of decent terms in one of these two starts ago. Normal service was resumed last time in a seller and he has a bit to find at the weights. Applaud and Rowan Lodge aren't weighted out of things either but at those weights Barataria just looks the best.
