Tannoor gets the vote over Miss Adelaide here, with nothing else making any appeal apart from Columbian Emerald. The likes of African Sunset and Sharabad are better known for their jumping exploits but even in that sphere neither are anything special, and Lord Lahar has a long, long absence to overcome. Therefore it should boil down to the three-year-olds in the line-up, and we select Tannoor to come out on top. The Michael Jarvis inmate took on good company on each of his three juvenile starts, and his third to Rule Of Law at York has started to work out very well indeed, with the likes of Aqualung and Appalachian Trail going on to score. It has to pointed out that he was a beaten favourite on each occasion, but we are convinced that there is a race to be won with the son of Miswaki, and in the belief that he will come on for his Kempton return when third to Bukit Fraser in soft ground, he is the pick. Miss Adelaide will be his main rival, but she too has disappointed, having shown only moderate form on both starts this year. This step up in trip may bring about some improvement, and Barry Hills is probably hoping that he has found as weak a race as possible for the filly. As for Columbian Herald, his last of seven on his Musselburgh debut hardly inspires confidence, and Tannoor really should take the beating.
