A wide open contest here with many in form rivals in opposition including Esatto, Artie, Pax and Charlie Parkes and we will take a chance on Artie. The four year old from the Tim Easterby yard was a good second behind Budelli a couple of runs ago and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat and if the rain came the confidence would also grow. Esatto rates the main danger he won well last time out when defeating Alpen Wolf and although he has risen in the weights he will not be far away with conditions again in his favour. Pax has dropped to a handy mark and is worth noting in the market but he disappointed last time out so for that reason he is opposed on this occasion. Charlie Parkes is also worthy of respect but she is better with slightly more cut in the ground. Of the remainder Get Stuck In goes particularly well at the track but may just need the run after an 341 day absence so we are happy to side with Artie.
