    Verdict

Curtail gets the confident vote in this nursery handicap with Choysia and Welcome Approach the pair likely to give him the most to do. The selection ran well last week when a good second behind Triskaidekaphobia at York. That was over the minimum trip and he may prove to be better over this extra furlong. He looks a progressive sort and from a good draw he should take plenty of stopping. Choysia was well-beaten last time but that was in a Group 2 race and she has to be of interest now that she is dropped in class. She made a winning debut at Thirsk and her trainer rates her highly so she will certainly give our selection plenty to think about. Welcome Approach won well at Musselburgh last time but that was not a particularly strong race and he will have to improve to get competitive in this company. Norman Beckett looks the best of the rest and for the winner we will stick with Curtail.
