Pepper Lane showed she was progressing after getting the victory at Redcar earlier this month and Carrie's Magic could have a trick in her despite finishing third in the same race, but COMMANCHE RAIDER runs for the Michael Dods yard who have had a very good strike rate with their three-year-olds so far this year. 21% of three-year-old run outs have resulted in a win for the Dods yard in 2010. Commanche Raider comes here after winning at Newcastle and has two wins from four races. Although returning to the 6f trip which made for a poor effort from the gelding at Hamilton last month, we forgive this performance as this was a seasonal bow and has come on nicely since then. Pepper Lane just got up to win at Redcar and beat Carrie's Magic that day but in this race it is likely to be much closer given the movements in the weights. Only 6lb separates them and this could produce a closer race. However we overlook these two and go for the in-form Commanche Raider.
