THOUSAND MILES is selected with Faithful Ruler and Celtic Change others to make appeal. Peter Chapple-Hyam's horse was tried in listed company in France without much in the way of success but he has shaped well in two recent outings over seven furlongs and if the going stays on the slow side of good, he can give a good account of himself at the likely odds. Faithful Ruler has gone up 1lb for a near miss at Ayr. This assignment will be his toughest to date though he has managed to hold his form. Celtic Change is from a stable that have enjoyed rich fortunes over the last few months. Any firming up of the surface will prove helpful. Veiled Applause would have chances on some of his older form though he seems to have lost his way on the level. Spirit Of Nation ran with a lot of credit on his reappearance for David Brown. A dual scorer last term, he clearly maintains a degree of ability. Doric Echo has ran well at this course before and with a recent fourth to his name over today's course and distance, he can give a good account off his very light racing weight. Cases can be made for the majority of these runners though the most compelling is held by Thousand Miles.
