MOHEEBB is taken to land this quality contest though Plaisterer and Stevie Thunder have shown enough to suggest that they will go close. Ruth Carr's gelding has gone from strength to strength this term in spite of ground that probably hasn't completely suited him. Effective with plenty of give underfoot, he faces a stiff task off these terms but with his yard in such rude form, it would be folly to think that he could not improve again. Plaisterer won well at Doncaster. Today represents a massive step up in grade though she is worthy of the opportunity. Stevie Thunder has been given a 3lb rise for a recent placing at York. That could be a fair enough assessment by the handicapper as that handicap looked particularly smart at the time. Unbreak My Heart is much better than that no show at Goodwood suggests. Wise Dennis has shown little for a long time but were he to run within 15lb of his career best, he would be a factor. King Charles has ran respectably in handicap company of late. A winner off 90, he has found winning difficult since accruing the extra weight. Demolition won a claimer at York and is now 2lb higher than his last winning handicap mark. Marvo won a decent pot at Hamilton Park though a combination of a longer trip and a 7lb rise in the handicap may cook his goose. Moheebb makes most appeal in the best race of the day.
