      Verdict

      Just seven runners in this finale but a case can be made for most of them. We will give the tentative vote to Rothesay Dancer, with Spirit Of Coniston and Mytton's Pride put forward as the main rivals. The top-weight is from ayard amongst the winners and looked on the way back to his best last time when chasing home Urbe Condita at Hamilton. He had no chance with the winner that day but was clear second best and does appear to be capable of winning a small race off his current mark. Spirit Of Coniston has managed a couple of victories this season and wasn't beaten far last time when fourth behind Heavens Walk. He should be in the shake up this afternoon. Mytton's Pride has yet to hit top form this season but is now down to an attractive mark and could go well at a decent price. The pick of the others could be Stoneacre Fred, but Rothesay Dancer should be capable of giving weight and a beating to these rivals.
