      Verdict

Taranis is one of the likely contenders here along with Signal Hill, but if Noble Nova takes her chance she should be capable of winning again. Mick Channon's filly is at the top of her game and made it two wins in a row when successful at Hamilton on Saturday night. She just had to be pushed out to beat The Flying Peach by three lengths and she is hard to ignore in this mood. Sir Mark Prescott's charge Taranis disappointed at Kempton last time but that was over a mile and half. The drop back in trip should suit and he will make a bold bid to make all. Signal Hill has obvious form claims having finished just behind the selection over course and distance and has a six pound pull in the weights. However Noble Nova showed plenty of improvement last time and can confirm that form. Pappas Ruby may do best of the remainder, but Noble Nova should be capable of landing a quick hat-trick of wins.
