Verdict

A smashing race in which the vote goes to KANGAROO COURT ahead of Tchico Polos and French Opera. One worry with Emma Lavelle's gelding is that his jumping has not always been the best but he missed an engagement at Cheltenham for this race and a bold bid is expected. Good ground is ideal and over this two-and-a-half mile trip he should take plenty of beating. Fortysecond Street impressed when winning at Doncaster last month and he is very effective on this going, whilst Fiendish Flame ran well when sixth in the Jewson Novices' Handicap and with a proven record on good ground he could take some pegging back if allowed an easy lead. French Opera has been very progressive over the last twelve months and shouldn't mind a return to novice company. However he has a little to prove over this trip and is taken on accordingly. Tchico Polos completes the race and he is an obvious danger. Emphatic when winning at Sandown last time, his previous second to Punchestowns is another solid piece of form and he must go close if his jumping holds up. A fascinating race, where the vote is given to Kangaroo Court.
