Three-year-olds have a very good recent record so MECCA'S SPIRIT has plenty going for her, not least a course and distance victory last month. She returned with a penalty a few days later but missed the break and, though getting into contention, had nothing left at the finish. Lucky Violet has been in excellent form over this trip and a mile here in the past few weeks though does appear better over the longer trip as she showed again on Saturday when beaten half-a-length. Scotch Myst, a dual winner at Southwell, has never won on Turf and has had plenty of chances but Inglorious is now on his lowest-ever mark and has won over the track and trip so looks a major threat.
