Rare Coincidence bolted up at Wolverhampton and is taken to follow up at the expense of Wahchi, Bright Sun and Thistle. Rare Coincidence had shown little over the past three months until bouncing back to form in a moderate claimer at Wolverhampton 17 days ago. That was over a mile and a half, a trip that in truth stretches his stamina, especially in a truly run race, so the drop back in trip will be a big help as he attempts to land a first ever Turf success. Roger Fisher's four-year-old had a stack of entries this week, so is obviously on good terms with himself, and can exploit a decent handicap mark here of 54. One of his entries was at Cartmel, and being related to a winning hurdler, it should be noted if and when he goes back over timber. Wahchi gained his first win for Mick Easterby in a ladies' race at Pontefract a fortnight ago, and now that he has been brought back to the boil, is another that can figure in the finish. Bright Sun is a bit better handicapped now but may need another two furlongs to return to winning ways, while Thistle should be suited by the trip today but has it to do to make all off topweight. Rare Coincidence is the pick.
