ENSNARE won well just a few days ago and with the stable in good form he is fancied to take top honours again; the shortlist is headed by Apache Nation and Confide In Me. Ian Williams' gelding was quietly backed before winning on his recent handicap debut at Wolverhampton. That was a weak race but his 6lb penalty may not be enough to stop him as he looked to have a bit in hand at the line and should run well once again. Confide In Me was a bit unlucky to bump into a progressive rival last time and is considered, as is Diamond Lass who ran well at Ripon last time but ultimately she is yet to win in seven starts. Red Skipper's run over this course and distance is fair form, and he only went down by a head at the line; he still looks competitively handicapped. Course winners Apache Nation and Chin Wag are considered, although the latter has a bit to prove after some below-par performances of late and connections turn back to the cheek-pieces. Primo Way, Willyn and Wilmington all have good form at this track, however it is Ensnare who is taken to land the prize.
