YADDREE is selected in preference to stablemates Yamal and Always A Rock, while Transfer is unexposed and also makes appeal at the likely odds. The last named never really landed a telling blow at Chester last time out and may be better suited by this more conventional racing surface. The step up to a mile ought not to be a problem for him on pedigree but he obviously has a bit to prove at this stage of his career. Always A Rock has been leading the charge from Mark Johnston's team by winning three times since April. His progress has been steady and assured this season. And, as the form of his latest outing reads well, the son of Rock Of Gibraltar cannot be discounted. Yamal is another on the upgrade and should make a bold bid to shrug off his latest 6lb rise in the handicap. Having proved he is capable of winning on firm ground, the son of Green Desert makes plenty of appeal and looks a worthy alternative to the selection. However, the form of Yaddree's close third in the Britannia Stakes looks the best piece of recent evidence and, as Michael Jarvis resisted the temptation for the three-year-old to make a quick reappearance, his patience can be rewarded with another big run today.
