Verdict

Most of these attempt 1m4f for the first time though the filly Simple Verse has won over today's trip and has just sneaked into the weights for this. The latter's trainer also runs Maxwell and Marma's Boy, who are both seeking hat-tricks, while Ryan Moore is back on board Dissolution despite winning on stablemate Dartmouth at Sandown last time. Richard Hughes prefers Belgrade of the Hannon runners while King Bolete and Space Age step up in class on the back of winning handicaps at Newbury and Newmarket respectively. Taper Tantrum will have come on for a recent reappearance and Proposed, Keep In Line, Rib Reserve, Neymar and Scottish are all maiden winners but the latter's stablemate ROCKY RIDER competed in Listed company last time and went close in the Tattersalls Millions Trophy at Newmarket before that. Edward Greatrex' presence looks a good move as his 7lb allowance could make all the difference to the Galileo colt over this longer trip and he could go close.
