Speedy Sam is the pick ahead of Press The Button and Perfectperformance. Speedy Sam clearly felt the benefit of a small break when running a blinder to be second to Monte Alto in a class 2 handicap at Newbury three weeks ago, and with Seb Sanders taking over in the saddle, he can be fancied to go one better. Press The Button was allowed an easy lead when scoring at Folkestone last time, and will not find things as easy off a higher mark here, while Perfectperformance drops down from tackling Listed company at Goodwood, and is still well enough treated, considering that he was mixing it with Group 3 opponents two years ago. Mutajarred had his limitations exposed at Ayr last time, and is up against it against mainly older rivals, and we much prefer the claims of Speedy Sam.
