Edge Closer gets the vote here ahead of stablemate Black Moma and Impromptu. Richard Hannon's colt dispatched of a subsequent three-time winner on his debut (stablemate Danehillsundance) and then ran well in defeat on his handicap debut last month. He was slow away on that occasion but was only beaten a couple of lengths and off the same mark today he may take some beating. Impromptu represents a stable in form and finally got off the mark at Windsor last time when making all under George Baker. With that confidence booster under his belt he rates a threat, along with Sonoverrgun who has been dropped a pound for his recent defeat. Black Moma steps back up in trip here but the feeling is that this game sort may just be better over the minimum trip. Richard Hannon has a strong hand here and the vote is given to Edge Closer.
