AZIZI looks more than capable of making his mark at this level and is preferred to Frozen Power and Dubawi Phantom amongst others. Frozen Power comes into the race on the back of a heavy defeat in the Royal Lodge when hampered. He'd still have been well held with a clear run and will need to bounce back to his best to land this. That is a possibility but we prefer to side with a horse going forwards and Azizi has improved with every start. He was tending to hit a flat spot in his races over seven so it was no surprise to see him stepped up to a mile last time and he ran on strongly to land the odds at Doncaster. This represents a step up but he has improved with each start and has a touch of class about him. Dubawi Phantom responded well to blinkers to make the frame in a Group 3 at Sandown and should be suited by this longer trip so has place claims again. Blakey's Boy disappointed at Newbury with the quick ground a possible excuse with the ground possibly contributing to Prompter's display at Sandown when behind David Simcock's runner. Simenon was one place in front that day and he bounced back to form to score at Ayr but needs to improve as do Morana and Togiak. Stags Leap benefited from a finely judged ride to win at Warwick where the seven runners finished on top of each other to suggest that the form needs treating with caution. The yard has plenty of candidates for these races though so he merits respect as a result but he hasn't caught the imagination in the same way as Azizi.
