In depth

Verdict

Plenty of these have chances but the vote goes to Aggie's lad, who has been well held in all three starts but makes his handicap debut on more suitable ground and comes from a yard that always warrants respect, so he gets the vote ahead of Sea Senor and Hugo Wolf. The last mentioned was going well when falling three out at Huntingdon last time and Alan King's gelding has to be respected provided that tumble has not affected his confidence. Avalon has been expensive to follow and may be best watched at present, while Anchors Away is similarly proving to be hard to win with. Nevada Red has run better over fences of late but is hard to recommend back over hurdles and of more interest may be Mick Easterby's Sea Senor, who showed improved form at Wetherby last time. Aggie's lad would need to improve on all known form but the ground may help Tony Martin's gelding to do just that and he looks worth chancing.
