Luton moved to within a point of League One leaders Portsmouth with a 2-0 success at struggling Scunthorpe.
A goal in each half from Andrew Shinnie and Harry Cornick earned the Hatters a seventh successive league victory in a match they controlled for long spells.
Scunthorpe were the better side for the opening 25 minutes - during which time Yasin Ben El-Mhanni and Lee Novak both fired over from crosses - but once the visitors had broken the deadlock in the 37th minute, there only looked like being one winner.
The opening goal, although against the run of play, came via a well-worked move down the Luton left. James Justin showed great determination to gain possession and from his pull-back, Shinnie fired first-time into the bottom corner.
Any hopes the hosts had of getting back into the game all but ended five minutes after the restart, when confusion between Levi Sutton and Charlie Goode allowed the Hatters in on goal.
Though Elliott Lee's shot was pushed away well by Iron keeper Jak Alnwick, Cornick followed up to fire in the rebound.
Kyle Wootton had a header well held by James Shea from a corner as Scunthorpe came close to a consolation in the final quarter but they crashed to a sixth successive league defeat.
