Premier League: QPR boss Harry Redknapp sees chance for points during 'tough' week ahead
Sunday 30 November 2014 07:42, UK
QPR boss Harry Redknapp is targeting a run of successive wins after a 3-2 victory at home to Leicester put his side "right back in the pack".
Charlie Austin’s dramatic winner at Loftus Road clinched only their third league win of the season and lifted Rangers off the foot of the Premier League.
Redknapp admitted this was the start of a "tough" week that sees QPR travel to Swansea before a home clash with fellow strugglers Burnley next Saturday.

But he told Sky Sports: "This is a run of games where we’ve got a chance to get some points.
"We’ve got a tough week, going to Swansea next and then Burnley here. This was the first chance and we took it.
"It’s put us right back into the pack. If we’d been sitting here on eight points at the end of the night, you’d say we’ve got a mountain to climb but we’re back in there.
"We showed a lot of character. They pinned us in at the end of the game and it was all hands to the pump. We defended for our lives and it was a great win for us."
The west London side had been on a run of three games without a win that included defeats at Chelsea and Newcastle - and QPR are yet to win away from home ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Wales.
"The away games we’ve played have been difficult," Redknapp said.
"We’ve played all the top teams who’ve been bang in form - even Southampton. We’ve been to Chelsea, and caught Newcastle at the wrong time.
"We’re scoring goals which is good and we defended well when we had to. I’m sure we’ll get points away from home too."
