Sean Dyche is taking each game as it comes as he looks to lift Burnley out of the Premier League's bottom three.
The Clarets have been in the relegation zone for almost all of their first season back in the top division, but they take on Aston Villa on Saturday on the back of successive wins against Hull and Stoke.
Villa's visit to Turf Moor kicks off a busy run of eight Premier League games between now and January 1 but Dyche says his challenge remains the same despite the boost of their recent victories and the knowledge victory would take them above their opponents as well.
The point is you’ve got to win the next one. If you don’t, you’ve got to reorganise and revitalise and try to win the following one.
"We made a fantastic habit of winning a lot last year, but the challenge changed quite simply and it became a lot tougher this season," Dyche told Burnley's official website.
"I felt wins would come though and I don’t think we’d been a million miles away. The performance levels had generally been good and there had been positives to take.
"I don’t think we were overthinking the start we had. We know there’s a reality to this tough division. We’re learning, we’re trying to improve and we are improving.
"We had to make sure that performances turned into wins. We’ve done that for two games, but it has to continue. One win doesn’t cure anything and two don’t either. We need more and we’re still hungry and thirsty to get more.
"The point is you’ve got to win the next one. If you don’t, you’ve got to reorganise and revitalise and try to win the following one.
"There can never be any better incentive than winning. All the rest takes care of itself. Our main journey is to win as many games as we can. Now we've got two home games coming up, which we are looking forward to.
"We can only take one at a time though and the one-game mentality of last season has never been more relevant."
